Goats milk is the G.o.a.t

Back in 1957 my sister was born. My mother was not able to breastfeed her and my sister could not handle cow's milk. The doctors recommended she be fed goat's milk. My dad thought this might be a way to turn lemons into lemonade. He thought there must be a lot of people that couldn't digest cow's milk which meant there was a market for goat's milk. So, instead of buying goat's milk or buying a milking goat, he bought a herd of goats! As far as I know the only people that drank any of the milk they produced was our family as the big idea turned out to be much more difficult than my dad had considered. Even though the sale of raw milk was allowed, the planned sale of milk directly to an area hospital never transpired.
