​Knowing about Horses

Horses are highly intelligent animals capable of doing much more than giving someone a ride down a trail. They can pull a plow, help bring a lost calf back to its mother and even be used as a form of therapy. 

Space requirements: 
Horses need about 1 to 2 acres of pasture, and a 12 x 12 stall. 

Average days to ride:
A horse should not be ridden hard until they have physically matured to carry weight. For most horses this occurs around 2 years old.
